Two Alarm Blaze in Ontelaunee Township
Majesty Coach and Tours on Willow Creek Rd in Ontelaunee Township was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene at approximately 5:25am on tuesday morning. The fire cause still unknown was in the office of a large building.

Ontelaunee Township 2 Alarm House Fire
On thursday October 15 Leesport Fire Department responded to a fully involved structure fire just off north bound route 61 on Heffner Lane near Snyder Rd. Initial reports reported a barn fire. Additional information showed the fire to be a fully involved working fire in a two story house.

The Union Fire Company No. 1 of Leesport is a community based fire department that is made up of all volunteers. In the community we do everything from putting out fires, to vehicle rescue, to medical assists. We also do school programs and parades.

Shartlesville Lights and Siren Parade First Place
Engine 37 made out well at the 2009 Shartlesville Lights and Siren Parade finishing first in two categories. Three firefighters Ryan, Chad and Kyle took the trip to Shartlesville after they cleaned up the engine to represent Union Fire Company No. 1 of Leesport.

MVA 61 and Berkley Park Rd Ontelaunee Twp
A multiple vehicle MVA in Ontelaunee Twp sends multiple patients to the hospital. Firefighters and EMS crews worked together to extricate and care for all patients involved. Route 61 in Ontelaunee Twp by the bridge in front of V and M towing was closed after the MVA so Northern Berks Police could investigate the incident. Additional information will be added as we can.
